Artist Peter V. Bianchi shows Mary revealing her spotless heart to the world, a heart "pierced by a sword" because of the agonies inflicted upon her Divine Son. But it is our sins and indifferences that wound her heart, too, and cause her to weep tears of sorrow on our behalf.
